Maria Middelares General Hospital and St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze move toward becoming non-profit organisations

In June 2023, Maria Middelares General Hospital and St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze, trusted partners in a personnel union since 2017 and both members of the E17 Hospital Network, announced they wished to increase their cooperation in view of a sustainable future. As of 1 January 2024, the hospitals will form one non-profit organisation that manages two general hospitals.

Quality care for our patients is central to our narrative. Many services and medical services already operate beyond the hospital and this cooperation will continue to expand in the coming months. Patients can always visit the various healthcare sites (St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze, Maria Middelares General Hospital in Ghent, the Aalter Medical Centre and the Ghent-Bruges Medical Centre).

Since January, we have been operating as one powerful non-profit organisation, combining the strengths of both hospitals. We are confident that the collaboration will help us take our care to an even higher level
