Antwerp University Hospital and Maria Middelares General Hospital research the best endoscopic treatment modalities in therapy-refractory gastroparesis

Often, diagnosing gastroparesis (delayed gastric emptying) in patients is no easy matter. Moreover, therapeutic options are limited. Recent developments have shown that there seem to be two more effective remedies in addition to drug treatments, acting on the relaxation of the pylorus. In the BOTOMY study, Antwerp University Hospital and our hospital are working together to gain new insights into this.
