Donate blood or plasma and be a Summer Hero

Just last year, the Red Cross launched its ‘Summer Heroes’ campaign. Using the motto: ‘Summer heroes look after each other’, the idea was to give everyone a worry-free summer, something that is more welcome than ever in times of COVID-19.

Nevertheless, the Red Cross has registered a drastic fall-off in the number of blood donors to barely half of what the donor centres need. The Red Cross reiterates that blood collection stations are safe environments.
