Maria Middelares General Hospital and St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze thank entire team during Day of Care
Friday 12 May 2023, the international 'Day of Nursing', our hospital and St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze celebrated 'Employee Appreciation Day'. All staff and physicians were invited to a barbecue lunch. Students, volunteers and retired staff were also welcome to take advantage of this opportunity to connect.
Maria Middelares General Hospital and St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze will form a single non-profit organisation together as from 1 January 2024. ‘Our employees’ well-being remains our top priority. We’re making every effort so that colleagues at both hospitals continue to feel comfortable in the new organisational structure. Today is an example of that’, explains Herbert Lecomte, director of human resources and organisation.
'On this day, we’d like once more to thank the teams for the compassionate care they provide and their intense commitment to patients and their loved ones, who can count on them without fail in their most vulnerable moments. Each link is equally important in this. Together, we all can achieve quality care. And that’s why today’s dedicated to each and every colleague’, echoes CEO Christophe Mouton.
Employees can 'juice pedal' while cycling to prepare a healthy smoothie ; they can also participate in a poll that gauges how employees experience well-being while at work to win an on-the-job yoga session. 'We deliberately chose to emphasise the importance of both physical and mental health. We believe in having a healthy mind in a healthy body’, concludes Herbert Lecomte.
Christophe Mouton shares, 'Today, each hospital is celebrating at its own site. Soon, we’ll also celebrate together for the first time during our 'Summer Festival' at Maria Middelares General Hospital. This is an opportunity for colleagues to get to know one another better, but in a casual, summer festival atmosphere.'
