Maria Middelares General Hospital wins the Business Mobility Award

Yesterday, our hospital won a Business Mobility Award for ‘Olli’, our self-driving and completely electric shuttle. This shuttle transports visitors, employees and patients between the tram and bus stops and the hospital entrance. We want our shuttle to encourage people to use public transportation when coming to the hospital.

The Business Mobility Awards are granted by the Flemish Foundation for Transportation Science (Vlaamse Stichting Verkeerskunde, VSV), together with Agoria, the non-profit Prebes, and the Department for Mobility and Public Works to organisations and companies who are committed to sustainable and safe mobility.

At this time, a replacement bus is being used due to the demolition of the Octopus Building. Olli will return at the start of 2022.
