OPAT in residential care centres - from challenge to opportunity

Some bacterial infections require long-term treatment with intravenous antibiotics. Once the treatment is started, it is possible for certain patients to continue the treatment safely at home. A team of experts from our hospital presented a webinar about this on Thursday 24 June 2021. In this webinar, they provided information about the procedures, the logistics, the decision tree and the specific support from our hospital for home-based hospitalisation.
