Pain centre conducts clinical trial on chronic knee pain

The pain centre of Maria Middelares General Hospital participates in the Cogenius study: a study for people with persistent knee pain after total knee replacement or for people with pain from osteoarthritis of the knee who do not wish to undergo surgery (yet). This makes us the only centre in East Flanders selected to participate in this study.

The Cogenius study is being conducted by the Belgium Health Care Knowledge Centre (KCE). The Cogenius study is currently revealing a promising treatment that is (for now) only being reimbursed in Belgium through this study.
