Teledermatology as additional tool for quality care

Since 2019, the Dermatology Department at Maria Middelares General Hospital has been experimenting with teledermatology. This is done in cooperation with a number of other hospitals, local dermatologists and five GPs from the region.

In case of diagnostic doubt, the GP can use a template in eHealth to establish a secure contact (together with some well-taken photographs and patient data) with the specialist for advice about a dermatology problem. This can all be done in a
secure way so that patient privacy is fully maintained.
