Renal failure

Symptoms and causes

Symptoms and causes

The kidneys consist of a large number of microscopically small filters that purify your blood. They remove waste products and water from your blood, which are removed through your urine.

  • Acute renal failure: the kidney function deteriorates suddenly.
  • Chronic renal failure: the kidney function becomes progressively worse, the symptoms persist for a longer period of time, and the structure and function of your kidney are affected permanently.
