Endocrinology
You can contact the Endocrinology Department for the diagnosis and treatment of all hormonal disorders (e.g. thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, pituitary gland, testicle, ovary) and metabolic diseases (e.g. diabetes, cholesterol problems, obesity). Patients are mainly treated on an outpatient basis, i.e. without hospitalisation.
About us
Our endocrinologists cooperate to the maximum with other specialisms and services. Quality of care and patient satisfaction are always paramount.
We are especially in close consultation with our specialised Diabetes Team (diabetes nurse, dietitian, podiatrist and psychologist). The Endocrinology Department is recognised as a centre for the NIHDI convention for diabetes self-monitoring and self-regulation (diabetes contract) and for insulin pump treatment (pump contract). The department takes an active part in the Diabetes Care Programme and the preparatory 'follow-up of a patient with type 2 diabetes'.
