Oral diseases

Oral diseases

Minor procedures in the mouth can be performed under local anaesthesia. A syringe with a local anaesthetic will be used, like at the dentist’s.

If the procedure is extensive, it will be performed under general anaesthesia. The surgeon will discuss this with you in detail.

The most common ailments are:

  • Tooth extractions
  • Jaw cysts
  • Removal of a lip or tongue string
  • Removal of clogged salivary glands (mucocoele) and stones
  • Dental cleaning (oncological, cardiological, organ transplantation ...)
  • Soft tissue biopsies/excisions

Infections and cysts

Infections and cysts

Facial infections must always be followed up properly. After all, an infection that is not treated in time can develop into an abscess. This abscess can expand and cause systemic problems. It is therefore important that the physician examines and identifies the cause and the entryway of the infection.
