Treatment with TENS unit

After consulting the hospital's pain doctors, it was decided to start TENS therapy.

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Neuro Stimulation) is a treatment that reduces pain without using medication. It works by sending tiny electric shocks through your skin, stimulating your nerves.

TENS can help with different types of pain, such as:

• Pain in your joints (for example for knee or hip osteoarthritis)
• Chronic back pain
• Diseases where your muscles, tendons or bones deteriorate
• Tension headaches
• Muscular pain
• Pain that radiates to other parts of your body
• Pain after amputation or phantom pain (when you feel pain in a body part that is no longer there)
