Bone reconstruction

What is it?

What is it?

Sometimes, not enough jawbone is present to facilitate a prosthetic repair. If that is the case, we can proceed to bone reconstruction.

Treatment procedure

Treatment procedure
  • Using the patient's own bone (e.g. autologous bone) is preferable. This bone may be taken from the mouth, the cranium or the hip.
  • If necessary, and depending on the situation, artificial bone can be used.

The surgeon will discuss the various options with you and explain the best approach.
