Botox infiltration

Botox is short for Botulinum toxin A: a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. By injecting Botox into a muscle, you block the signal transmission from the nerve to muscle. As a result, you weaken the injected muscle and it remains relaxed. The effect lasts for between three months and up to a maximum of six months.

Botox infiltrations may be given to treat localised spasticity after a stroke or painful hypertonia (muscle tension). Reimbursement is possible in some cases. Ask your physician about possible reimbursement.

We administer the infiltration using ultrasound and EMG guidance for optimal localisation.
