When performing our daily activities, we have to keep a number of principles in mind to ensure that we place less strain on our back.

  • Change position frequently
  • Tighten your abdominal and buttock muscles
  • Good posture is also partly determined by environmental factors (height of the work surface, office design, storage, workspace, etcetera.)
  • Ironing board height: keep your elbows at an 90° angle, then position the ironing board ten centimetres lower than your wrists.
