Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance produced by the body. It is found in the synovial fluid, and it plays an important role in protecting and feeding the cartilage. In cases of osteoarthritis, we see that the quantity of hyaluronic acid produced by the body is reduced in the synovial fluid. Hyaluronic acid injections adminiser a high dose of hyaluronic acid into the joint. This stimulates the body's production of hyaluronic acid and works as a joint lubricant.
