ICSI
What is it?
ICSI stands for intracytoplasmic sperm injection. This treatment has a lot in common with IVF, but it is indicated when the sperm count or quality is extremely low. Unlike IVF, there is no natural selection: a sperm cell is chosen in the laboratory and then inserted into the ovulum.
Results
If the ICSI treatment results in embryos, these are inserted back into the uterus after three or five days, depending on the quality. This treatment is completely painless.
