Nasal endoscopy

Symptoms and causes

Symptoms and causes

What is it?

This procedure involves looking inside the nose through the nostrils, using a tube (endoscope). This endoscope may be flexible or rigid. It enables the physician to determine any changes, such as nasal polyps, deviated septum or signs of sinusitis.

In general, the procedure is well tolerated and is performed during a consultation. If you wish, a local anaesthetic spray can be applied.
