Lower jaw correction

  • When? If the teeth in the lower jaw are positioned too far forward or backward, correction is possible by disconnecting the tooth-bearing part of the lower jaw from the back part of the lower jaw. The jaw joint stays securely in place.
  • What is it? For this procedure, any impacted wisdom teeth must be removed at least six months before. After the lower jaw has been moved to its ideal position, the surgeon fixates it through titanium plates and/or screws.
  • How? The entire procedure is performed through the mouth.
