SomatoSensory Evoked potentials (SSEP)
An SSEP (SomatoSensory-Evoked Potentials) test examines the sensory pathways of the body. This involves administering shocks to the skin (arms/feet) and measuring brain signals using small needles in the scalp. We perform this examination when the EMNG examination does not provide enough information or when the cause of sensory disturbances is unclear.
