Mums Café

Please note

The info on this page only applies to patients who gave birth in St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze.

What is a Mums Café?

A Mums Café is a place where you as a mum can unwind for a while and share motherhood with others. A place where you can go with your questions and concerns, to go back outside revived with new energy.

The midwives offer you a cup of coffee, tea, soft drinks and a piece of cake, often home-made. They supervise contact with other mums and provide tips or answer questions. In consultation with the interested mums, a speaker is usually invited to talk some more about a particular theme. These themes have already been covered, for example:

  • Baby massage
  • The use of slings
  • First aid for young children
  • Baby yoga
  • Motor development of the young child
  • Healthy nutrition for your baby

About six times a year, our maternity organises such afternoons.

Who is it for?

They are intended for all mums who gave birth at St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze and whose baby is less than one year old.
