Specialisation
New patients for the neurosurgery service are only seen on written referral from a doctor and preferably in possession of recent imaging. The main aim is to check whether the patient can/should be helped with surgery or not.
For patients known to the neurosurgery service, we also require a written referral from a physician, unless the patient has undergone surgery within the neurosurgery service in the last 12 months.

- No medical advice is provided via e-mail or telephone. Thank you to always make an appointment for this.
- For some time now, the NIHDI has no longer allowed certificates and prescriptions to be issued upon telephone request or via e-mail. Please always make an appointment, as this can only be done during a consultation.
- On Tuesdays in the even weeks, Dr Bleyen operates at AZ Glorieux in Ronse.
Not covered by agreement with the health insurance fund
In principle, the physician can always charge a supplementary fee for consultations or examinations in the outpatients clinic.
