First-line care in the residential sector

A preferential partnership with our hospital exists if any of the following conditions are met:

• collaboration with the laboratory of Maria Middelares General Hospital or the laboratory of St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze
• a significant inflow and outflow to and from the residential care centre or hospital

• Intervisions and in-service training: preferential partners are invited to relevant in-service training and intervision events, such as infection prevention, wound care, diabetes, etc.
• Wound care consultation
• Expert geriatrics nursing advice
• Diabetes advice
  
• Advice on infection prevention and antibiotic support: E17 host team
• Infection prevention advice: Hospital Hygiene Team (see below)
• Advice on pain in the elderly
• Dementia advice
