  • Remember the visiting hours and contact the patient in advance to agree a suitable time. Keep your visits short, every patient should get enough rest.
  • The provision of care always has priority. Wait outside if the healthcare provider is in the patient's room.
  • In rooms with several patients, keep the other patient(s) in mind.

  • Do not visit if you have a cold or flu.
  • Respect visiting hours. Deviation from the rules is only permitted in consultation with the head nurse.
  • Would you like to speak to someone from nursing? Please ask for the head nurse. If he/she is absent, you can make an appointment through a nurse on duty.
  • Park your car in the spaces provided and remember that you have to pay for parking.

  • Don’t give germs a chance:
    • Ensure good hand hygiene: wash your hands with soap or use hand alcohol when you enter a room, after using the toilet, after coughing or sneezing, when you provide care (e.g. helping patient eat or visit the toilet).
    • Cough or sneeze into a paper tissue and dispose of it immediately into the bin.
    • For hygienic reasons, do not use the patient's sanitary facilities. There are toilets for visitors.
    • Do not touch wounds, catheters and/or dressings.
    • Follow the procedure on the instruction sheet when entering the room of an isolated patient.
  • Mobile phone use is permitted, except in places with a prohibited sign.
  • Smoking is prohibited in and around our hospitals (RD of 15 May 1990). Outside the buildings, smoking is only permitted in the smoking shelters.
  • Preserve the peaceful atmosphere in our hospitals. Do not let children play in the corridor or take the lift alone.
